Candy's dam, Mardi Gras Links April Star is a bay mare with extraordinary movement and a beautifully sculpted head and a glowing huge eye.   Her grandsire is Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan,  Reserve National Grand Champion Senior Stallion, who has produced multiple National Champions such as Shadow Oaks Top Banana...National Grand Champion Senior Stallion and Samis Nit Wit Banana...Reserve National Champion Ladies Single Pleasure Driving....to list just a few of the National Champions out of her grandsire
