Westwinds Banner Blossom or Faith, as we called her was a beautiful shiny black mare with big loving eyes.  She was one of those horses that you were immediately drawn to because she was so affectionate.  When people (especially children) would visit, she would always stretch her head over to be touched.  All of us fell in love with this little mare -- she stole our hearts!  We had purchased Faith in Texas at the AMHA National Show.  She was a multiple AMHA Champion and we were excited about adding her to our breeding program.  Her pedigree was outstanding and we had such high hopes for her future foals.  We had faith that she would be a wonderful addition to our family.

So, with that in mind, we named her Faith -- a simple word yet ever so powerful.  We didn't realize until later just how fitting her name would be.  We lost her on February 6th, 2003.  We all greatly miss her and that sweetness she so easily shared with us.  Most importantly though we will always hold closely the life lesson she taught us with her passing -- life is so very precious!!  We also thank God for our dear friends (family) who stood side by side with us that cold winter night, trying ever so hard to save her life.  You truly are very special people who we feel blessed to know! We love you!!
